Above - McNair Cottage viewed from the air
The McNair Cottage on Walton Point at the southern end of Canandaigua Lake was originally purchased by Charles McNair and his wife Florence three generations ago. Charles McNair was a prominent nurseryman and owner of McNair Nursery in Dansville, approximately 25 miles from the lake. The small cottage supplied a quiet respite where Charles pursued his passion for trout fishing and listening to his beloved Yankees. His two daughters moved away but the simple pleasures enjoyed on Walton Point drew them and their families back to the spot often. The cottage remains in the family and they continue to come and take in the magic of the area.
I hope that your stay is relaxing, carefree and enjoyable. May you develop your own special memories of Walton Point and the Finger Lakes region.
