General Information
Power Outage: Losing power occurs infrequently and usually lasts for a brief period.  During a power outage, the water pump will not operate.

Septic: The cottage utilizes a septic field located on the street side of the cottage. Please do not dispose of anything other than toilet paper.

Garbage Disposal. Trash will be picked up upon your vacating the property. Trash cans are supplied in the breeze way and should be kept bound by bungee cords to deter animals.

Smoking: There no smoking allowed in the cottage or in the bunk house.

Neighbors: We enjoy good relations with our Walton Point neighbors, most of whom have owned their cottages for decades. Please be sensitive to the close proximity of others on the Point and observe reasonable, respective behavior. No loud parties are allowed.

Parking: Parking for up to 3 cars is available on the Point and is restricted based on the occupancy of the home. Please do not exceed the limit. Do NOT park on the lawn as it could result in damage to the septic system.

TV: Press DVD & Power to activate the TV. Set must be turned on channel 3 to get the cable stations.

Damages: Please treat the cottage as if it was your own. Upon arrival, any damage to the property should be reported immediately. At the end of your stay, the property will be inspected and you will be responsible for any charges.

Kayaks: Should you wish to use the kayaks you need to sign a waiver agreement. Contact John at (703) 883-0770 ext. 208 and one will be e-mailed to you. Once it is received back, instructions will be given on where the key is located for the kayaks, PFD’s and paddles. Please know that use is at your own risk and you should bring your own life preservers.

Local Attractions:

Besides the beauty of the lake, the Finger Lakes area offers a vast number of recreational opportunities. We’ve noticed the families that come enjoy a variety of activities. Boating, fishing, wine trail exploration, hiking, antiquing are just a few activities to explore. A basket is provided that contains brochures for many attractions in the area.

A few attractions include:
  • Monica’s Pies (4 miles south of the lake on Route 21)–try the famous grape pie!
  • Naples Valley Playhouse-right in Naples. Good seasonal performances.
  • Sonnenberg Gardens & mansion State Historic Park, Canandaigua
  • Keuka Lake Wine Trail. (800) 440-4898.
  • New York Wine & Culinary Center, Canandaigua.
  •  Finger Lakes Wineries

Restaurants:​
  • Bob & Ruth’s in Naples is good for casual dining.
